Public libraries are said to be removing some childrens' books deemed to be inappropriate. Amongst those withdrawn include much loved Roald Dahl stories such as 'The Twits' and 'Revolting Rhymes '. In Lewisham, Herge's adventures of Tintin was considered too racist, whilst Ali Baba and the forty thieves was thought to be too sinister.
I remember that my love of reading was promoted by the adventures of Biggles and the Billy Bunter stories, two books likely to be targetted because the former will be deemed too warlike and the second a damaging stereotype for obese students. I think the move is terribly depressing and parents who object to the titles should be told that they are the problem and not the books. Heaven knows what they would make of the title of my 'O' level English Literature novel- 'The Nigger of the Narcissus' by Joseph Conrad. How times have changed!

Deportation and Legal costs
The proposed deportation of Islamic terrorist, Abu Qatada, has run into difficulties when his legal team appealed to the European Court of Human Rights. Forgetting that Abu Qatada doesn't for a moment recognise any other law but Sharia, this farce, apart from making the UK a laughing stock, highlights yet again the heinous role of the legal profession in abstracting money from the public purse.
Time and time again these Legal teams find ways of prolonging the stay in a country he and his family despises whilst accepting the Country's hospitality, all the while costing the tax payers a fortune in fees for legal aid. Who are these people? They are clearly acting contrary to the interests of the Country and ought to be exposed for what they are. Long gone are the days when the legal profession was an honourable career. From obtaining acquittals from motoring offences on mere technicalities; from ambulance chasing tactics to pursue ordinary businesses trying to exact a meagre living in difficult circumstances, to frustrating the will of the people with complex points of order designed to prolong the judicial process and so enlarge their already considerable profits. To many their practice resembles one more properly belongs to the realm of traitors and their fees, for work where nothing is manufactured or in other ways, wealth created, are more suited to that of parasites.
This terrorist sympathiser is an enemy of the Country and should be deported immediately. No ifs or buts and every taxpayer should lobby his or her Member of Parliament to lodge their refusal to pay their share of his legal aid.

UK for sale
We have long thought it criminal that so much of British Industry (Including their patents and intellectual rights) has been sold to foreign countries and subsequently ruined by greed of bankers, asset stripping hedge funds, and foreign shareholders who have no regard for the UK or its people. Please read the article below taken from the Daily Mail.

Racism in the Met
It is likely that dozens of Metropolitan Police Officers are to face disciplinary proceedings for alleged racism. I presume this refers to overt racism or verbally expressed racism.
Almost everyone is racist to some degree. It would be unnatural if it wasn't so because hard wired into every human beings mind must be a defence mechanism that suggests that safety comes from sticking with the family, community or tribe. Those outside these parameters are aliens and constitute possible danger. It is a primitive instinct but no less valid for that.
Police officers are particularly vulnerable to racially inspired prejudice. All too often they see the trafficking and sexual abuse of young white girls being perpetrated by Asian gangs. They find that the majority of very young black drivers of high value cars are involved with the drugs trade. Most anti-terrorism surveillence is conducted on Muslims. It leads one to surmise that if all 'racist' police officers were suspended would there be anybody left because, like the rest of us, they are all human and unlikely to be saints.
Traditionally if a member of a society allies themselves with another they are open to the charge of being treacherous. It might be argued that Police Officers who abet minority interests ahead of those of the indigenous residents on the grounds of 'political correctness', can be counted amongst this number.
Those engaged with social engineering of the people should proceed with care lest the devil they hope to contain proves to be less worrisome than the monster they create.

Trip of a lifetime.
The UN is minded to turn the wreck of the Titanic into a World Heritage Site in the face of increasing interest by firms wanting to turn it into a peep show. One US firm is planning to run submarine tours of the site, charging 37,000$ per passenger.
A Sky TV presenter described it as the trip of a lifetime. The passengers on the 'Titanic' thought so too and for many, it was.
